Kristen Benavides and her family have lived in Boerne for 12 years.  She is a small business owner as a manufacturers’ rep in commercial interiors and architectural solutions.  Kristen’s closest friendships have been formed while giving back and she has served in leadership positions with National Charity League, International Interior Design Association, Raintree Woods HOA, Fair Oaks Ranch Elem and BMSS PTO, and Bible Study Fellowship. 

Kristen has lived in the Boerne area since 2012 with her husband Carlos and two children.  She was raised in Conroe, TX and graduated from Texas A&M, Class of 1996 (WHOOP!).  Kristen enjoys traveling, shopping, and Jeopardy!

Erica Eavenson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999 and earned her Master’s Degree from Angelo State University in 2004. She worked as an elementary school teacher for several years before having her first child and becoming a stay-at-home mom. She has four children, one at UTSA, one at BHS, one at BMSN, and one at Curington. Erica lives on a family ranch where she spends lots of time outdoors gardening and taking care of her goats and chickens. She is honored to serve on the LeaderSteps Board.

Amy Hall is thrilled to be joining the LeaderSteps team. After graduating from Texas A&M, she spent 15 years in the corporate advertising world working for and with clients such as Dunkin’ Donuts, Dr Pepper, Baskin-Robbins and 7-Eleven. Since becoming a stay-at-home mom, she’s been a proud and avid volunteer in the local community through PTAs, Champion football, Young Men’s Service League and National Charity League. Amy and her husband Shane moved to Boerne in 2020 from the Dallas area and they have two kids who will both be attending Champion High School this fall.

Jenn Long was born and raised in Boerne and has family who helped found our great town. She calls Boerne home along with her husband and children, including a daughter who attends Boerne High School and a son who is at Boerne Middle School North, both schools she attended. She currently serves as a local Realtor with The Phyllis Browning Company and loves being involved in our community. Jenn is passionate about loving people and developing leaders. Her background includes working in evangelical ministry as well as at the executive level in a leadership development firm. 

JR Oviedo has a small goat ranch they started 6 years ago in Boerne, where she lives with her immediate and extended family.  She has been married to Noah Oviedo 20 years and their kids are Townes and Casey Oviedo. They both attend Boerne highschool. She is active in football, cheer, ag, and NCL to name a few.  She is excited to help students in boerne improve their skills for their next adventure in life. 

 Dainelle Scott is honored to serve on the Boerne LeaderSteps board.  She has three children who currently attend Champion High School and Kendall Elementary right here in BISD.  She is a local Realtor and team lead of Rise Property Group at KW Boerne as well as owner of The Glo Studio here in Boerne.  She has a heart for helping others grow into their best potential, especially the youth who are following in our footsteps.
